Methodist Presbyterian Union
The Methodist Presbyterian Students Union is a religious group on the University of Ghana campus.
Well known by most students' as MPU, the Union provides a home on campus for Presbyterian and Methodist Students, blending in a truly beautiful way the dearly cherished traditions of both denominations.
We open our doors and warmly welcome all other students on campus who wish to worship with us. Despite the fact that the primary purpose for our being in the University is to gain knowledge, our success in this quest is dependent on God.
MPU believes in the total development of the student and as such apart from the usual Sunday worship at the Central Cafeteria organizes academic seminars as well as seminars on the social life of the student.
It is a joy to be part of the MPU family and we welcome you to our fellowship.

Inside U.G
Bernice Owusu entered the University of Ghana campus a very simple girl. After going through the hectic registration process, she was given the key to her room in Mensah Sarbah hall. When she opened the door, what greeted her and her mother was stale smell and dust.
“Oh no, this place is horrible!” her mother said.
“You can say that again,” Bernice said as they entered and she put on the light.
“Are you going to share this tiny room with three people? Can you cope?”
“Oh I miss my room already,” Bernice sighed as remembered how comfortable her room at home was.
“Seriously, four people living here is unthinkable!”
“And I heard we cook inside too,” Bernice added.
“Are you serious? It is rather unfortunate that our home is far from here or else you would have stayed at home and come to school from the house.”
