Galatians 4:1

What I am saying is that as long as the heir is a child, he is no different from a slave, although he owns the whole estate. 2He is subject to guardians and trustees until the time set by his father. 3So also, when we were children, we were in slavery under the basic principles of the world. 4But when the time had fully come, God sent his Son, born of a woman, born under law, 5to redeem those under law, that we might receive the full rights of sons. 6Because you are sons, God sent the Spirit of his Son into our hearts, the Spirit who calls out, "Abba,[a] Father." 7So you are no longer a slave, but a son; and since you are a son, God has made you also an heir.

AS long as one is a child one cannot receive or make claim of his inheritance from his father .As Christians sometimes we don't understand why we fall victims to some circumstances or find ourselves in some situation. We read daily of promises and blessings made available to us from the Bible but cant experience it in our lives some of us go to extent of blaming God instead of analyzing our lives to check our level of maturity as a Christian. From the above verse Paul makes us understand that as a child you do not differ from a slave boy. Yes you can be a heir to the possessions of your father but until the appointed time when you become matured or old enough you cannot take charge of things.

Let’s take a scenario, being the child of the richest man in the world is an enviable position many people will like to have. The man can have luxurious cars, homes, planes, boats, ships and all wealthy treasures one can dream of. But remember that the fact that the man is rich doesn't automatically make the boy the richest boy in the world. This even applies when he is the only heir to his father .The father might not withhold anything from him but he won’t be able to take control if he isn't old enough. For instance, there can be that smart sports car in the garage but if he is 16 years old he cannot drive it because obviously you must be 17 years or older to obtain a license to drive. That 6 bedroom house cannot be in his name because in most countries you must be 18 years before you cane be placed in charge of a property.So what am I implying. Simple, as Christians you have a Father in heaven who owns everything .He has enormous power to heal, cure, bless and raise the dead. His riches are beyond your imagination. Yes that is how wealthy and powerful Daddy is. People get excited at being related to someone famous or popular but WE ARE CHILDREN OF GOD. It doesn't get better than that. Don't underestimate the greatness of your Dad in heaven. Daddy is his own mercies have placed all he has at our disposal but we cannot have it until the appointed time of maturity. Until you are matured enough as a Christian and can manage effectively the power and treasures available to you, u can’t have all your possessions or promises. But there is still hope for the baby Christian Daddy loves you so much and doesn't want you to lack or face inadequacy.

Verse 2 says you are under guardians and stewards. Yes the Lord in His own mercies has placed you under guardians and stewards. The angels, men of God, pastors, Christian brothers and friends are all there to make you grow and pray with you until you are fully grown .We must remember that there are enough angels for each and every one of us. Let me assure everyone that the time for growth will come but the earlier you get there the better. It all depends on your effort. I wish we all grow up and take charge of Daddy's gifts available to us. Remember the earth is part of Daddy's possessions and we as heirs together with Christ must exercise dominion in whatever we do and place the Devil is his right place. The Devil was never a heir neither a child of God but just a servant who turned bad and became an outcast in Daddy's Kingdom. He has no right claiming anything in your life or on the earth. Take control your life and live a happy and successful life. Grow up as a Christian by feeding daily on the word of God just as you feed on physical food. Lets all grow up and live a victorious life we are supposed to live .God Bless U.
