VISION/ MISSION STATEMENT OF THE BIBLE STUDY CO-ORDINATOR FOR THE 2010/2011 ACADEMIC/ SPIRITUAL YEAR.

There is a time for everything and a season for every activity under heaven (Eccle 3:1). The race in the kingdom of God and its duties go on unabated; for there is a charge to keep we have and a God to glorify as the gracious Father calls us unto his leadership.

MPU FOR CHRIST!

“The days are coming, “declares the Sovereign Lord, when I will send a famine through the land not a famine of food or a thirst for water, but a famine of hearing the words of the Lord. Men will stagger from sea to sea, wander from north to east, searching for the word of the lord, but will not find it. (Amos 8:11-12)

Therefore “Study to show yourself approved of God, a workman that needeth not be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.” (2 Tim2:15 KJV) Amen.

VISION& MISSION STATEMENT

Vision

To God’s glory, Bible Study Team seeks to inculcate always into itself and the Union, the Love and Essence to studying and Observance of the Lord’s Laws and to teaching it; more especially to God’s Approval (Ezra 7:10): that is

Determining to Know God and being known by Him. (Jer 29:13, Mark 1:11, Matt 16:16-19)

Mission

· To foster growth and warmth through fellowship

· To liaise with Counseling and Evangelism Directors to grow deeper discipleship

Strategies

#Team

• Constant Bible Study & Prayer meetings
• Creating Bible Study Cells at the hall levels
• Visitation and follow-ups
• Encouraging the acquisition of Study Bibles
• Creating a library through donations for further reading
• Bible Study seminars & lecture periods

#Union

• Encourage members to study the word and embark on evangelism
• Create good follow-ups and discipleship class liaising with the Evangelism and Counseling teams

Conclusion

Again a charge to keep we have and a God to glorify; for there is a race we must run and victories to be won, we receive grace and power from God every hour to be true.

Ephe 3:20 “Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than we ask and imagine, according to his power that works within us, to Him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen
