EVANGELISM TEAM 2010/2011 SPIRITUAL/ACADEMIC YEAR.

MISSION STATEMENT

PREAMBLE:

… If you love me, tend my sheep… (John 21:15-17)

INTRODUCTION:

If you love me, you will obey what I command (John 14:15)

In our bid to obey God’s command, our MISSION is as follows:

· Sharing the word of God to people for them to come to a personal conviction that Jesus loves them and be personally willing to love Christ and live for Him.

· Encouraging and training the members of the congregation to come to a personal understanding of evangelism and be willing to share Christ not only through preaching but every way possible. For example singing, drama, cooking, etc.

· Making M. P. U. a home especially to new converts and new members of the church.

· Working with the other sub groups to achieve the purpose of evangelism.

· Effective discipling of new converts.

VISION

Matthew 28:20

· To see the church with emphasis on individual members developing themselves to a level that personal evangelism is convincingly understood.

· The team serving as a backdrop against which evangelism, discipling and counseling activities will flourish.

· To see all other subgroups achieve the purpose of the “church”. That is to go out and win souls, disciple them and love them.

· Dawn broadcasting.

Use of technology:

· Internet: facebook, M. P. U. website, emails.

Others

· Poster evangelism, radio evangelism, Jesus shop, etc.

· Acquisition of megaphone
