FINANCIAL BREAKTHROUGH
Bible Readings and References: 1 Kings 3: 2-6, 2 Corinthians 8:1-9, Luke 6:38, Luke 21:1-4, 2Kingswants a breakthrough 4:1-7.
Every Christian under the sun wants to have a financial breakthrough or wants to be financially sound to enrich their faith and spice-up their relationship with God. Worshipping God with poverty us very difficult, it has drained and diverted the faith of many from God. But here are five (5) steps that if we follow wholeheartedly will turn our lives around.
1. Seek the lord
Our God has always remained a father and a provider (Jehovah Jireh) for those who are His children and obey Him. If Christians will live their ways right in Him and make Him the first and last resort of all their demands, He the lord will hearken to their voice in times of trouble; attend to their predicaments in doleful moments. If unbelievers as well will accept and confess Jesus Christ their personal savior, He will then reacts to their problem and solve them.
2. Recognize what you have
Christians should appreciate what they have and also believe that God will grant them breakthrough on what they have accumulated. It’s about me Christians possessed the “abundance mentality “God has given us enough to plunge us into affluence but we fail to recognize that and this has made us remain in our old states. There were times in the bible where God made manna fall from the skies to feed His people and these wonders still exist but rarely does it happen. God is able to bless us on the”little” we think we have got. Let us remember how the angel addressed Gideon when he met, “great warrior” he said but Gideon was a stranger to those words. It clearly means, Gideon innately was a great fighter but he never knew and never appreciated it. God is telling us today that, He has given us something to turn our lives around. There is an amazing store of value and resources within us, if we will appreciate it and work with it we will possess greater treasures.
3. Develop and expand your capacity
Our God has always wanted His children to develop and increase in anything they possess. Education is for enlightenment and development. We must Endeavour to equip ourselves with knowledge in any form especially with finances. It is incumbent on us as Christian of us; we will be able to gallop with it.”Our God has no limitations in helping us but we do not have the capacity to receive them”. In the test above, (2 Kings 4:1-7) the oil of the widow ceased to flow when the vessels to collect them finished. God has loved our person before our purse and so let us develop and expand our capacity so that when our financial breakthrough will not become a problem to our personality.
4. Be enterprising.
We must be industrious and marketable. Christians must be enterprising, that is, we must learn to trade. In 2Kings 4:7, Elijah told the widow to go and sell some of the oil to pay her debt. We must work hard, for hard work really pays.
5. Give all you can.
The bible says in Acts 20:35 that there is more blessings in giving than in receiving. It is reiterated in Luke 6 :38 that we will receive in greater measures when we give. God blessed Abraham with wealth because he willingly gave god one – tenth of what he had acquired. Let us willingly give all we can and reach out to the needy as much as we can and our financial breakthrough will surely be manifested.
