The Handing Over Service.

To everything there is a season and a time to every purpose under the heavens Ecclesiastes 3:1. Our dynamic but unchanging God has done it ones again. He chose Moses to lead the people of Israel from Egypt through the wilderness and laid him to rest when he was heavy with age. God then chose Joshua after Moses to finally lead his people to the destination he had prepared for His people. It is once again the season and time for God to lay His once dedicated and deligent Moseses(old executives) of His great union, MPU to rest and usher in His chosen Joshuas (new executives) to lead His people. A handing over service was held by the Methodist and Presbyterian Union this Sunday @ 7:00am at central cafeteria. The editorial board of the MPU website had an interview with the outgone, inducted executives and the members of the union as well to know their views and feelings at this crucial moment.

Out gone executives

EB: Can you tell us something about yourself?

Joshua: I am Joshua Ofori, level 400, and I’m doing English and French combined.I just handed over as the secretary for Ghamsu.

EB: You just handed over the mantle leadership, how do you feel?

Joshua: I feel a little down. I enjoyed the work so much and by nature when you are leaving something you enjoy you don’t feel happy. NOW, I feel uneasy I wish I wasn’t doing it today.

EB: As the Ghamsu Secretary, how the journey been?

Joshua: It has not been easy but as I saud I enjoyed it and my passion kept me on. Moreover, with God all things are possible. I had to endure it, with all the travelling, overnight meetings, forfeiting lectures and sleep but it is well.

EB: Do you have any regrets?

Joshua: I don’t. I am among the few people who have served in the lord’s vineyard as executives for a long time and through all these years I don’t think I have any regrets. God has been wonderful.

EB: Do you have any experience to share?

Joshua: Oh yes, this position has given me a lot of exposures and experience. I first served as the MPU vice secretary then to the MPU general secretary and my last office as the Ghamsu secretary. It has given me the ability to write and to face crowd at any time.

EB: A new individual has taken your place what are your expectations for him?

Joshua: I don’t
